Dear Kachina Patients,
We are pleased to announce that we are upgrading our phone-based test results communication system. This will affect you if you are currently receiving your test results via telephone. Similar to the previous message system, you will receive a message (via a text or phone call) when results are available. The message will provide you with a phone number to call to listen to your message. To ensure your health information stays private, you will need to call from your home or cell phone number we have on file. When you call you will need to enter an identification number, which will be your 6 digit date of birth. For example, if your date of birth is January 5th 1998, your ID number would be 010598. This new system will be more user-friendly, convenient, and secure.
We also want to remind you that our practice offers an alternative to phone-based communication via an online patient portal called WebView. WebView is a free, secure, password-protected program that enables access your medical records anytime and anywhere you have internet access. Patients who are enrolled in WebView are notified via email when test results are available. The email contains a link to the WebView login screen. After logging in you can view the message from your doctor, view all the results and reports, and reply directly to your provider if you have questions. WebView can improve communication between you and your doctor.
If you would like to change the method you receive test results, please let us know at your next appointment.
